![]() Imagine a prosecuting attorney coming to you and telling you that you are accused of murder…and he is going to get you. He is going to use the weight of the law, and every resource the law provides him, to get you…you are going down! He is going to devote his every moment to getting you the death penalty! Moreover, every single day he then comes by your workplace, your home and even the church to tell you and constantly remind you…he is gonna get you. Yikes! That would be so scary wouldn’t it?

![]() Have you ever had a wrestling match in your head, trying to figure out what’s right, what’s wrong, what’s reality? Well, we all have. Most of the time, whether we are right or wrong, it works in our mind to seek out some peace with our decision by justifying whatever it is we decided, and mostly after the fact. But as believers, aren’t we supposed to be led by the Holy Spirit? Easier said than done eh? Well let’s take a look at “who’s talkin here”… Why is it man has this tendency to think God is messin’ with him…and not take God at His word? Or, only believe He is either with us or against us?
Our God…who parted the Red Sea, rained manna from heaven, toppled the walls of Jericho, quenched the fire and closed the lion’s mouths. God…who healed the sick, raised the dead and calmed the storm! Our heavenly Father. ![]() In our hustle-bustle world, we encounter all kinds of beliefs, and sometimes weird notions, about who Jesus was. Occasionally we are encouraged when someone agrees with us that Jesus IS! This very day, Jesus is alive and sitting at the right hand of God the Father; but aside from other believers we might socialize with, we find little agreement regarding either. Yet, this is a question of life or death! Amazing how people want a fuller life, but never turn to, or even look into, who is this man Jesus. ![]() There are 66 Books in the King James Version of the Bible; 39 Old Testament and 27 New Testament. It is generally counted as fact, somebody-somewhere did the count, the bible has a total of 1,189 chapters, 23,145 verses in the Old Testament and 7,957 verses in the New Testament; a total of 31,102 verses; 788,280 words. If you doubt these numbers, strike out on a mission to disprove them! And let the preacher know! Oh, and while you are at it, check out these things: The number “7” always refers to God’s completeness and pure spiritual perfection. If we look at the number of verses in the bible and do this: 3+1+1+0+2 = 7. Coincidence? Nothing in the Bible is coincidence. Did you know the bible was written over a period of 1,500 years by 40 different authors? Amazing is more like it… It is not intended to get into a “right or wrong” Bible here, but what’s coming needs to have some background… so don’t go to sleep getting through this… |

"If the God of the Bible exists, and there is a True Reality beneath and behind this one, and this life is not the only life, then every good endeavor, even the simplest ones, pursued in response to God’s calling, can matter forever." (Tim Keller, Every Good Endeavor)
